Applications for International Fund

Deadline: 31 July 2017

The foundation is accepting Letters of Intent through its Astraea's International Fund, which supports LGBTQI groups working to advance progressive social change, address oppression based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity and expression, and promote racial, economic and gender justice. Grants will range between $5,000 and $30,000 per year.

Gender & Development: Sexualities

Deadline for contributions: 15 June 2017

For its March 2018 issue, the international journal Gender & Development will examine the challenges and opportunities of working on sexualities in development. They are seeking contributions which draw on first-hand experience and research of work in development and humanitarian contexts, especially focusing on the global South/fragile or conflict-affected countries.

Human Rights Council resolution 34/ 3 adopted on 23 March 2017 requested the Independent Expert on foreign debt and human rights to develop guiding principles for human rights impact assessments for economic reform policies. The Independent Expert wants to implement this mandate in a participatory manner in collaboration with experts from States, international fi nancial institutions and other human rights mechanisms.
