Welcome to a global community of over 1,000 feminist, women’s rights and gender-justice organizations in 180 countries - and thousands of individual members. Our organizational members are movements, collectives, and institutions working on everything from sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence, environmental justice, climate justice to queer rights, racial justice, disability rights and justice, and feminist leadership.

Becoming an AWID organizational member means joining and sustaining a shared feminist space built on solidarity, connection, and collective care. Your contribution is more than a membership due-it is an investment in the relationships, resources, and collective power that allow feminist movements across the world to learn from one another, respond to crises, and build transformative alternatives together.Your contribution helps sustain the global feminist community that AWID members make possible, a living network of solidarity, shared struggle, and collective power across borders.
Through a sliding-scale model based on annual budget, we invite organizations to contribute in ways that reflect their capacity, ensuring membership remains accessible while strengthening the feminist ecosystem we build together; these suggested contribution levels are intended as a guide, and we encourage each organization to give in a way that is meaningful and possible within its context.
We ask for a sliding-scale monetary contribution based on your organization’s annual budget:
Up to 30,000 USD: join for free by completing this form (a contribution is optional)
Up to 100,000 USD: 100 USD Up to 250,000 USD: 250 USD Up to 1 million USD: 500 USD Over 1 million USD: 1,000 USD* Private foundations: 5,000 USD*

In addition to any required or voluntary contributions, we encourage all AWID members to engage in at least ONE of the actions below. You can choose from any category. (Check as many as you like)

In order to build more sustainability in the AWID member community, we have moved to a “Leave When You Wish” membership with terms that renew every 5 years. You can therefore withdraw your AWID membership anytime you wish, and will be asked every 5 years to formally renew.
