The 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC)1 was held at a critical moment for human rights, feminist and queer movements everywhere. The summer session of 2026 in Geneva was held in parallel with the G7 meeting2 in Evian, France. As the leaders of the G7 stayed in Geneva, massive protests against the G7 meeting3 were held the day before the start of the HRC.
