Salary: The base annual salary for this position is CAD $93,524.00

AWID is a global, feminist, membership, movement-support organization. Our mission is to support feminist, women’s rights, and gender justice movements to thrive, to be a driving force in challenging systems of oppression, and to co-create feminist realities. We currently have 35+ staff members based in 20+ different countries.

The position and profile

AWID is looking to hire an IT Coordinator (parental cover). We are looking for someone with expertise in computer systems - hardware, software and networks - and who understands and can troubleshoot operating systems such as Windows and Mac.

The right candidate would have experience in providing IT technical support to a fully virtual organization, trouble shooting technical issues, documenting all IT incidents, supporting staff to access all IT tools and systems and managing inventory of IT assets within and organizations. We are seeking experience in supporting the use of applications such as Asana, Slack, Zoom, Google workspace and strong knowledge of cyber security principles. The candidate must demonstrate the capacity to manage licenses, user accounts, analyze emerging technical trends and have experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe.

Other key responsibilities are technical support which includes setting up and configuring computers, security and systems administration, devices and asset management, digital tools training and knowledge management as well as organizational development and support.

The right candidate will be committed to the principles of feminism and anti-oppression, be familiar with regional and global realities of feminist movements with regards to information and technology. Successful applicants should be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with diverse stakeholders and have excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies.
