Request for Proposal: Programming & Logistics Consultant

Deadline for submissions: 7 April 2025
Location: Remote (on-site in Nepal 12-21 September)
Duration: 1 June -  30 October 2025

Overview of the organization:

AWID is a global, feminist, membership, movement-support organization. Our mission is to support feminist, women’s rights, and gender justice movements to thrive, to be a driving force in challenging systems of oppression, and to co-create feminist realities.

The position and profile | Scope of the work

AWID is seeking the services of a consultant to coordinate the logistics and contribute to content development for a four-day convening of up to 70 participants in Kathmandu, Nepal in September 2025.

This four-day event will centre participatory learning and co-creation through skill-share workshops, teach-ins, and other self-organised interactive spaces. The event will not only foster strategic collaboration but also serve as a moment for feminist movements to resource themselves through critical skill-building, knowledge-sharing, and collective strategizing. This consultant will play a key role in designing an engaging program, supporting facilitators, and ensuring the event logistics flow smoothly on the ground.

We expect the consultant to be deeply rooted in feminist values, and a deep understanding of social movement building and/or feminist movement building work in the South Asia region.
