Where is the Money for Indigenous Women's Rights Organizing?
The following presentation was given at the Resource Mobilization Hub For Indigenous Women’s Rights, an event organized by International Funders for Indigenous Peoples (IFIP), the International Indigenous Women's Forum and AWID during IFIP’s World Summit on Indigenous Philanthropy on Friday September 26, 2014.
It presents the preliminary findings of research conducted by International Funders for Indigenous Peoples (IFIP), International Indigenous Women's Forum (FIMI) and AWID, on the status of financing for indigenous women's rights organizing.
Objectives of Research:
- Generate hard data on the funding realities and trends for indigenous women’s rights organizing
- Gain deeper insight into how indigenous women’s organizations and donors understand how change happens (theory of change) in relation to increasing women’s rights and gender equality.
- Deepen our understanding of key networking and collaboration approaches that enhance movement building and complementarity.
