Salary: The annual salary for this tier role is USD $55,000

The position and profile
AWID is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who is committed to strengthen AWID’s Human Resources function in coordinating and facilitating the employee experience at AWID, contributing to organisational impact. The Human Resources Coordinator is a position that is responsible for leading in employee life cycle management and coordinating a range of human resource functions and contributing to the strategic development and implementation of HR at AWID.
In this role, you will lead in all HR function coordination aspects and in particular take ownership of all employee life cycle functions; from recruitment and onboarding to voluntary separation - and work to ensure that every staff member experiences AWID in a value aligned and consistent manner. You will contribute to strategic HR planning and facilitate implementation. Including contributing to the development of and facilitating implementation of HR strategies that address change requirements of the organisation. You will also lead in developing and maintaining HR metrics, including providing data and information enabling HR governance and advisory functions to be fulfilled as well as HR compensation and incentive plans to be developed.
As the right candidate, you will be understanding of AWID’s values, and be sensitive to upholding them in the way you take up the responsibilities of the role.
Successful applicants will have at least five years experience in a similar role within a non-profit development, gender, human rights, arts and/or funding organization. You will have demonstrated commitment to gender equality, anti-racism, anti-discrimination, and social justice. You will be experienced in project and program management; and have demonstrated capacity to think strategically and analytically, with expertise in complex problem solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills. You are someone who can thrive in a virtual environment working with a diverse and virtual team and can engage team members, build consensus, and build high performance teams;
