Canada launches historic fund for women's rights organizations

AWID welcomes this strategic move from Canada, which puts gender equality and women’s rights at the center of Canada’s International Assistance. We also applaud the work done by the MATCH International Women’s Fund and Nobel Women’s Initiative to call on the Canadian government to fund grassroots women’s organizations.

C-Fam anti-LGBTI+ data compiled for Ambassador Haley

During the CSW, members of the US Mission to the UN claimed that they did not know the extent of C-Fam's homophobia and transphobia before they were appointed to the US delegation.  While this statement made us more than a little incredulous, we decided it would be useful to follow-up with a data archive so there could be no such confusion reasonably professed in the future.

Anti-LGBTIQ hate bus hits streets of New York

The so-called FreeSpeechBus, is currently spreading its hateful message through the streets of New York City. The organizers behind the bus include the notoriously anti-LGBTIQ groups International Organization for the Family and National Organization for Marriage.
