WfWI Call for Evidence: Women’s Grassroots Advocacy Training Programmes

Women for Women International is conducting research into effective training programmes for women’s grassroots advocacy and is seeking existing research, evaluations, case studies and examples of training programmes/curricula to support this study. The research outcomes will be used to inform the development of future advocacy training for Women for Women International programme graduates.

We would particularly welcome evidence from training programmes for women’s grassroots advocacy that:

  • Operate in conflict and post-conflict settings
  • Have a focus on tackling violence against women and girls and/or women’s economic empowerment
  • Use participatory approaches to promote the empowerment, leadership and agency of illiterate and socially-excluded women as part of the advocacy process
  • Link women’s community-level advocacy to national (NGO-led) advocacy strategies and initiatives
  • Prepare women for risks that may arise when doing advocacy work at the grassroots through to national levels

Please submit examples of research here or directly to WfWI UK’s Policy Manager, Carron Mann (cmann@womenforwomen.org).

Please submit evidence by May 25, 2016
