#RightsAtRisk Webinar: The state of anti-rights organizing and our resistance

On 15th November 2017, AWID, as part of the Observatory on the Universality of Rights (OURs), is honored to provide a platform for feminist activists and women's rights advocates, including AWID members, partners and allies to discuss the state of anti-rights organizing and ways forward for our collective resistance.

Human rights are universal, indivisible, interdependent, and inalienable. Yet, today ultra-conservative actors are targeting the systems established to protect our human rights.

In May 2017, the Observatory on the Universality of Rights (OURs) - a collaborative initiative that AWID is part of - released Rights At Risk, the first report to look in-depth at anti-rights actors operating in international human rights spaces.

The report revealed a large and complex global lobby of anti-right actors, using an evolving repertoire of strategies to chip away at the very content and structure of our human rights institutions and protections, with disastrous consequences for human rights and gender justice.
