Program Manager - Women's empowerment and rights
Location: Juba, South Sudan
Organization: CARE USA
The Program Manager will amplify voices of Women’s Rights Organizations from Central Equatoria, Jonglei and Eastern Equatoria states while enabling them to strengthen their capacity to promote and defend rights and empower follow South Sudanese women and girls.
The Program Manager will strengthen Women's Rights Organizations’ technical programming skills in areas such as women's rights, gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights and women's economic empowerment and strengthen women's networks/coalitions within South Sudan.
The project employs feminist organizational development and movement building approaches to be a support facility to the women’s rights movement in the target areas of South Sudan. As such, CARE acts as a convener, networker, and liaison, providing space and technical assistance to women’s rights organizations to grow their own strategies, resources and programming. By the end of the project, it is expected that selected women’s rights organizations are stronger, more sustainable and provide a better quality of programming and information to their constituents.
