This post will be part of the OI Secretariat Public Engagement Department, as part of the OI media team.
Oxfam International is looking for an assertive, creative, dynamic and experienced multi-disciplined communications professional who understands women’s rights at an international level.
The successful applicant will have significant experience in media and PR, with a proven record of focusing on women’s rights in their communications. Video, photo and digital production skills are essential, as is field experience and a desire to travel. Sound news judgement, demonstrable creative execution, and excellent writing skills are a must as well as a “can do” attitude with the ability to empower others. Experience of working remotely is essential and within a dispersed team. This is a new and exciting role for the confederation so someone who can hit the ground running by setting and meeting expectations creatively and flexibly, while energizing others, is key.
Fluency in English, and track record of working in the English language for English language media, is required. Competence in one other language is desirable.
The ability to start the role by December 1st 2017 is highly desirable.
