Salary: The annual salary for this tier role is $61,250.00 USD

The position and profile
The Global Alliance for Sustainable Feminist Movements is an emerging multi-stakeholder initiative focused on exponentially increasing and improving financial and political support for women’s rights and feminist organizations and movements. With secretariat staff currently hosted by AWID, the Global Alliance brings together governments, private philanthropy, women’s / feminist funds and feminist civil society to increase and improve resources for feminist movements, as well as build political support and the visibility of diverse feminist movements, agendas, and policies.
The Global Alliance for Sustainable Feminist Movements, Communications Lead is a full time role focused on building, executing, and assessing communications strategies for the Global Alliance. This is a fixed term (12-month) position with possibility of renewal or extension.
The Global Alliance is looking for a Communications Lead who is energetic and passionate to take on critical communications work that will contribute to increasing and improving financial and political support for women’s rights and feminist organizations and movements. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans for global organizations, networks or alliances, have developed and managed successful media campaigns and possess in-depth knowledge of strategic communications with a feminist lens. The candidate should have strong grounding in feminist rights, experience navigating multistakeholder needs in communications strategies, and must be able to convey information clearly, concisely and in a compelling way.
Successful applicants will have at least five years experience in a similar role, including creating communications or campaigns strategies that engage and inform a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you should have demonstrated the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of groups, and relevant connections in media and the communications field. You are someone who can thrive in a virtual environment working with diverse communities and movements across the globe, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.
