The Funders Forum is an event that brings together donors and women’s rights activists to discuss key issues around resource mobilization for women’s rights work. The discussions will be related to how funders can most effectively support movement building within the women’s movement, trying to identify what this would look like, why it is important and what shifts in the relationships between donors and women’s rights organizations would be needed.In this session, AWID will present the 2008 research results on funding trends for women’s rights organizations, followed by a moderated debate with representatives from different funding sectors and including remarks from women’s rights activists. There will be space for Q&A at the end of the debate.
