Journalist Information

The Forum is now over, but we encourage you to check the "Latest News" section of this site for selected session writeups, transcripts, and other post-forum information. Updates will be posted throughout December and January.

Hello journalists, broadcasters, and media representatives.
Welcome to the 2005 AWID Forum!

The 2005 AWID Forum, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from October 27-30, is an exciting and dynamic event that is already attracting the attention and support of a diverse group of committed individuals and institutions from all over the world. These range from large corporate foundations to grassroots women's organisations from the South. Our theme, How does change happen? will spark new ideas and movements.

We encourage you to attend the Forum and be there yourself to witness and report on history in the making: events and discussions that may set the gears in motion for the improvement of the lives of women and girls now and in the future. If you are interested in attending, please visit the Journalist Registration page.

For those who are unable to attend, keep up to date on our media advisory page with news of the Forum, including new information on the discussions and activities that will take place; the prominent and generous sponsors who have helped make this Forum possible; and the details of the Forum's informal evening activities designed to keep the participants entertained and networked.

We thank you for your interest in the Forum, and hope to see you there!

For further information, please visit the Forum's website at http://www.awid.org/forum, or contact Forum Inquiries: awidforum@awid.org.
