The Impact Of The Crisis On Women
The current global crisis is bringing economic and financial burden to working class women and rural women’s lives in Central Asia, which were and still are under tremendous impact of the previous crisis.
Cut in trade, leading to cut of textile production with majority female employees, reduction of remittance is leading to increase of their job insecurity, significant
reduction of women’s income, increase of their vulnerability to greater gender discrimination, to reduction in access to education and health services. Women entrepreneurs have fewer opportunities to get access to financial resources.
